Andrew Crockford
Powerlifter
My name is Andrew Crockford and I am a powerlifter who trains at uGym. I have been working at this sport for over three years, with a goal of one day competing at an international level representing Scotland. Through the ups and downs of training, powerlifting has given me a sense of belonging and accomplishment day by day to work on my skills and abilities. uGym has been a key part in that journey, providing a supporting and encouraging environment. I hope to inspire people to work on themselves and strive for their goals as much as possible.
Martyn Paterson
HYROX Athlete
I am thankful to UGym for the support in my pursuit of my goals in Hyrox.
Having previously been an international level sprinter in my teens, followed by 10 years of strength training I have finally found my calling in Hyrox.
Having only begun focussing on the sport at the start of 2025, I have recently completed my first two single races in Glasgow in March and then Berlin in May, which I completed in under 60 minutes. I am competing in Cardiff in 2 weeks’ time, singles before I will move up to the Pro Category for the 2025/2026 season.
